Description:
A dryer door switch that ensures the dryer only operates when the door is fully closed. This safety switch prevents the dryer from running if the door is open, and can cause the dryer to not start, not shut off, not tumble, or stop unexpectedly if defective. It’s a simple on/off switch mechanism mounted inside the dryer’s door frame.
Installation Notes:
Disconnect power before servicing. Access usually requires removing the dryer’s top panel or front panel near the door opening, unplugging the old switch, and installing the new one with screws and connector plugs. Keep lint clearance around the switch area to avoid premature failures.
