Description:
Flat-style gas oven igniter used to ignite the bake burner, allowing the oven to heat. Common symptoms of a failing igniter include the igniter glowing but the burner not lighting, slow preheat, weak heat, or no heat.
Installation Notes:
Disconnect power and shut off gas. Access is typically from inside the oven cavity (remove racks, bottom panel/flame spreader). Replace the igniter on the burner and restore wiring. Some versions may require transferring the connector (cut/splice with high-temp porcelain wire nuts), depending on your harness style.
