Description:
A thermal cut-off fuse and bracket assembly for Samsung electric dryers. This safety component shuts off power to the heating element if the dryer overheats, protecting the dryer and preventing unsafe heat build-up. A failed thermal fuse is a common cause of dryers not heating, shutting off mid-cycle, or failing to start the heating process. This part installs on the dryer’s heating housing and must be replaced if it’s blown.
Installation Notes:
Disconnect power before servicing the dryer. The thermal cut-off (high-limit thermostat) and bracket are typically mounted on the heating element housing. Access requires removing the rear or front panel and possibly the drum. When replacing, clear any lint or debris from the heating area and confirm good contact at both terminals. Testing with a multimeter for continuity before and after replacement is recommended.
