Description:
A replacement electric dryer heating element assembly used in many Whirlpool-family dryers and related brand models. This heating element produces the heat necessary for drying clothes. When it fails, the dryer will tumble but not heat, or will take excessively long to dry. This assembly installs into the dryer’s heater housing and restores proper heat output when it has worn out or burned open.
Installation Notes:
Before servicing, disconnect power at the breaker panel. Access to the heating element requires removing the dryer’s front or rear panel and possibly the drum. Once exposed, remove the old heating element assembly and mount the replacement in the housing, securing all connections. Inspect and, if necessary, replace related thermostats and thermal fuses at the same time for reliable operation.
